I’ve also decided to share some of the academic papers collected in my files—and one of them seems especially well-suited to a post concerning the social and political aspects of Tarot. Here’s the abstract of Karen Hughes’ 2014 dissertation, “Enchanted Entrepreneurs: The Labor of Esoteric Practitioners in New York City.”
