It's June 22, 2026 . . .
And I'm on a mission.
I’ve been thinking about this mission for two days, beginning when I received a Tarot-related email that genuinely surprised me.
Not in a good way.
I want to consider my response, so I’ve decided not to rush just because today is a 22. In fact—I’ve decided to make today’s email extra-happy.
And we begin with a genuinely delightful piece of news!
One of the most interesting and effortful Tarot publications I know about is now available here on Substack: Nina Fox B ‘s Artcast.
Hasten over and say “Welcome!” by subscribing. Also, check out this EP post on her work.
And now for something completely different . . .
I honestly don’t know what to make of this—but the amazingly prolific, versatile, generous writer/publisher/entrepreneur/optimist Russell Nohelty turns out to be a Tarot enthusiast. In fact, he has created his own deck, and recently funded it through a Kickstarter campaign.
I will leave you to decide how you feel about his interpretation of Tarot—but I think you’ll appreciate his enthusiasm for creativity in the Tarot realm. Read more here, and download a free digital version of the deck.
I’ll also point out that “Tarot for business” has a distinguished history. Revisit Jim Wanless’s brilliant application of the Voyager deck:
And now to the other end of some undefinable spectrum . . .
With thanks to Frederick Woodruff for the heads-up, we have—the return of Leonora Carrington’s extraordinary Surrealist Tarot:
That is a surprising value. And if you want to go all in, Fulghur Press is offering this “Ultimate Bundle”:
What’s next for EP?
So glad you asked.
Later this week, I’ll write about that “surprising email” I mentioned above—and it will be the springboard for a commentary I believe is truly important right now.
I’ll also announce three events I’m planning for this summer. In fact, I’ll tease one of them right now:
I want to open EP to additional voices, so I’ve invited five guest writers to contribute over the next two months. Hint: They might be unexpected.
As always, thanks for reading! More soon. C
