As promised . . . .

At the end of yesterday’s post, I promised to share a relevant excerpt from one of the new books I’m working on. And here it is!

Brief context . . .

• I’ll be publishing several mini-volumes over the remaining months of 2024. First in line—Exploring Tarot History, which covers all the material in Part One of The Tarot: History, Mystery, and Lore, revised for digital reading, and expanded with additional information and illustrations.

• I’m thinking of these ebooks not as replacements for my two existing print books, but as complements or companions. Among other things, this project allows me to make connections across the two original books, add some lore from what’s been developed in three years of EP posts, and provide updated/expanded references.

So here’s an excerpt from the coming-soon Mystery volume. Since it’s a bit long and has some footnotes, I posted it on the EP site instead of including it in this email.
