I had to write and tell you how excited I was to see the pairing of Majors adding up to 21!
I have been teaching the Majors on the Tree of Life in two different ways: as Paths on the Tree and as pairings of the Magus through the Wheel involution/Lightning Path with the Sephirote and then pairing these ten with the next ten Majors as evolution/ascension up the Tree. Thus the Majors are paired exactly like your chart without me realizing each pair adds up to 21! The Fool and the World card sit outside the Tree in this system. Michelle Jackson wrote about it as a system developed from an essay by Ouspensky in Tarot of the Bohemians. Her original site that I ran across is gone now, but I have the essay and then an edited version that I give my students. Marcus Katz seems to know this system. But I haven’t heard much about it from anyone else. Until I saw your article. (-; Here is an edited excerpt…
1. Kether: Magician Judgement
2. Chokmah: High Priestess Sun
3. Binah: Empress Moon
4. Chesed: Emperor Star
(*note that possibly Crowley was on to something with the exchange of the Emperor and Star)
